I am new to prius modding and my first project is the side mirror turn signal. Is there anyone here from the Bay Area who can help me install it or is there anyone who can recommend a place where I can have it installed who has done it before.
I have relatives there but I'm not visiting SoCal anytime soon. Thanks for the offer. I might make a trip when I decide to do the motorized folding mirror.
is that an OEM JDM motorized mirror that you have. will you share the part number so I can have my friend in Japan look for it?
They are the JDM power folding mirrors however they came from the Toyota Wish in Japan. Here is my thread explaining what I did: HOW TO DIY: JDM Folding Mirrors with Signals | PriusChat
do you have the link where I can purchase it? Then I'll maybe take a trip to SoCal so you can help me install it.
if anyone is interested in an alternate signal mounting than the mirror I just can across this Installing Turn Signal Repeater Lights on a 2004 2005 Toyota Prius pdf free ebook download from stuff.jaygroh.com it uses a scion side signal marker, give part numbers and instructions..... I thought about this but couldn't get myself to cut into the fender.
Funny u post this cause I did that on my 06. I bought the wiring for a Scion xB & got the LED version from ebay I placed them right below the hybrid badge
Sorry to bring an old thread back to life, but does anyone know of a place in the San Diego area where I could have these installed? I know i could go up to Tommy in LA, but i'd love to have these installed locally if possible and not have to drive 2hrs to L.A and back. I'd love to be able to install these myself but I really don't want to risk screwing anything up lol.
I drove from Vegas to LA just to have Tommy install last summer (so glad I did) ....you really need some one who knows what they are doing and he is fantastic. Car stereo guys have no experience finding that damn blue wire. He'll knock it out in no time.
Ditto. I normally do my own mods but used Tommy to find that elusive blue wire as I wanted everything done under the dash. Glad I did.
