Here's a C1 or C2 in a Compton, CA salvage yard with serious front unibody mash & sidesway. Looks like it took an initial hit at the LT FRT corner. Note that the steering wheel & knee airbags were deployed. The car had to have been totalled by the insurance company for it to wind up as salvage. Oh no... I just wanted to point out that a C hit in the engine area pretty much totals the car. Past forum posts of rear end hits in $9K - $12K amounts could not total the car.
Yeah, I kinda thought it would be a total if it got hit in the front. As long as I walk away from it though, the car, no matter what it is, can be replaced. Have had one totaled in my lifetime, sucked, but I did walk away from it. In the end it is all the truly matters.
I think they are trying to sell the whole thing there. Once the C is out a bit, you will see them where you can. You may want to to try craigslist too as people do change out seats.
