    Hi Jimmy,
    I also got the Whispbar S6 Flush and thinking about a cargo box for my 2011 Prius. I saw the exact Skybox you have at REI and thought it's too long for the roof, but now...your picture made me ponder another options. I was eyeing on the Rocket Box 12, because the length of that box is about 58"...hopefully just missed the stock rear antenna But now, I can't help to see you have a mod on your antenna and fit a longer cargo box. May I ask which SkyBox did you get? Thanks in advance!!

    I got the Skybox 16S. Purchased it through Amazon for $422 plus there was a $100 rebate direct from Yakima, a deal I could not pass up!

    here is my new thule atlantis 1800 box on my car.

    if anyone was wonder if it fit. It does. the lift gate hits the box but it opens almost all the way up and not interference with the SAT or radio signal.

    Love my Thule Raceway Platform. Next year we plan for Kayaks so I'll be adding a Thule roof rack as well.

    We have a 1UPUSA.com :: Home rack. It's modular so we plan to add another one to it for a 2-bike set up soon. Very compact and doesn't interfere with hatchback. This is in the folded up mode. IMG_5687.JPG

    2013 Yakima Hold Up. Reliable, flexible design. Fixs all types of bikes from 20" up to 29". Touch less and it clamps on front tire. Folds up and tilt down option is very handy.

    Issues;
    Weight, around 45-50lbs.
    Lock cable holders are weak and falls out. Make sure you lock them or they will drag!

    Changes for 2013;
    New black color
    Integrated lock cables
    Side to side adjustable to center bike.

    Also should note impact to MPG has been minimal from what I gather. Maybe 1 mpg.. but nothing serious.

    Tthanks, the Tarmac SL3 rides nice. Nice balance between stiffness and comfort. Handles very well also. 404's feel great above 25mph and not too bad in cross winds. Now if I only I can be fast as it is...

    Since my photo at the beginning of this thread I upgraded my Cannondale quick to a Roubaix SL3. I *love* that bike. No wheel upgrades-have to get in better shape (and get our kid through college :) before that makes sense. The bike is a real joy to ride.

    this is the kind of setup I'm looking for (finally)

    How much have you put in the box (weight) and what kind of mpg do you get with it on there?

    Also, I never thought about moving the plate, I assume it's the law since you can't drive around with it covered up.

    I was wondering the same in terms of load and license plate.

    The platform alone must be quite heavy, no less than 60-70 lbs. Then add the container another 10-15 lbs. I guess that leaves a little over 100#'s you can haul.

    My hitch rack also partially conceils my plate when folded up.. wonder if that's an issue..?

    I really haven't loaded it up too much yet, but I've stood on the platform and bounced around a bit and it felt solid. As far as MPG goes, I haven't really noticed a difference at all, but I also haven't been through a full tank yet.

    Yeah, I went ahead and moved the tag, but its still not completely legal since its not illuminated, but I'll take my chances. I am sure a cop will at least appreciate the effort of moving the plate and give me a warning if I ever get stopped.

    Tongue weight is suppose to be 200lb max. With that cantilevered out about 2', that's really putting it to the test.

    I believe the Roubaix, aside from zert inserts, the headtube is taller compared to Tarmac. I seem to appreciate taller headtubes more these days.. and notice more road race frames are coming with longer headtubes.
