Mother-in-law, who lives downstairs in the house we share, just traded her Rav4 for a 2012 C2. Ours is Blue Streak Metallic, and hers is Classic Silver. While Entu seems to be as stock as the 2 comes, Baby Sister has side door body moldings, door edge guards, and the rear bumper protector. The only problem seems to be that her eyesight is highly glare sensitive, and during the day she can barely read the clock, let alone the eco score screen. Luckily, the majority of her driving is done at night since she works the graveyard shift. I've also suggested she invest in a pair of sunglasses, hoping that might help her see the display better.
And I must admit... while I previously lusted after the rear bumper guard, I thought it was overpriced. Now that I have seen one, my lust has doubled. I still think it is a little too pricey, but now I have added it to my wish list.
Her windows are not yet tinted, so I am hoping that will assist her visibility issues. On the other hand, she can see when the big green bar on the eco score screen moves, even if she can't make out the CHG section or the fine line in the middle - she can tell EV from not-EV and she can see the power zone. I figure, for now, that should be good enough. Remember, she is coming from a car that in the 6-8 months she owned it never got better than 18-24 MPG. And she did fairly well on her first "hypermiler" lesson today, if only she could see the screen better. Looking forward to giving her a lesson after dark so she can see the panel, or having another go at once she gets her tint.
Hmmm I only now just notice the section of red colour in the rear side panel... that's something else not present on ours - ours is solid silver. Weird.
The rear-facing part is the same, but the side-facing section is solid silver on our version. This is similar to my observation in another thread recently that our headlight cluster doesn't have the orange bit on the side. Such a weird thing to be different. Congrats on a sibling. Those are U.S.A. DOT Side Marker Lights built-into the tail & headlight assemblies. I checked some stock Aqua photos and they don't have them. I guess the same for Rob's Prius C in Australia. I wonder what's the reg in Canada? .
