Anyone put a hitch and cargo carrier on the Prius?

    I have a 2012 model 3 and love it ...
    I have a few lawns that I cut in the summer and am thinking about putting a class 1 hitch (hidden hitch) on the Prius, and then buying one of those cargo haulers.... like this;
    Aluminum Hitch Cargo Carrier - 500 lb. Capacity

    Anyone have any comments? Done this before?

    BTW - I would only be putting a 21" push mower on it.... it probably weights 75 lbs.

    I think weight wise you'd need to keep the load under 75lbs. A guy at the hitch place who does custom installs has had people load up 4 downhill mountain bikes with a 4 bike carrier and actually ripped the floor out of the car since the rack welds in. He says two bikes max. That's about 60lbs give or take plus the weight of the rack is about 20lbs.
