I'm about to order a 2006 Prius. I'm considering the package with HID lights. Which headlight consume more power. HID or regular. I'm thinking that the higher power consumption headlights would decrease fuel economy. Any thought?
My understanding is that the HID lamps actually use less power than the regular lamps. I also think that the difference is probably too small to be measured.
Pee first, before driving off. The reduced weight would probably raise your mileage more than the difference in headlight wattage.
