It appears as though my car is charging just slightly when I'm driving and my foot is neither on the accelerator or the brake. Is this normal?

Also, this light is on. I'm not sure what this is.... New Image.JPG

Yep. That's the TPMS light. One or more tires is low.

Thanks! But could this be what's causing my car to look like it's charging when i'm coasting?

This is normal. Toyota designed the car so that it has a little deceleration when you take your foot off the gas.

When your foot is off both pedals, the car is not truly coasting. The hybrid system applies weak regenerative braking to simulate the engine drag of a regular car, so that the driving feel is more similar to what drivers are accustomed to. You can eliminate this drag by pressing the gas pedal lightly, just enough to make the CHG bar on the HSI display disappear.

LOL, I'm old fashioned, and always amazed how it's easier to take a picture and post it on a forum rather than look up in a manual. I must be aging fast.

it means your tires have melted due to hot lava. have you driven in hot lava lately?
