Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has had this issue before? I noticed that it started recently and does it consistently... When I accelerate from a stop there is a creaking/popping noise that comes from the front of the car. It is difficult to pinpoint but you can make it do it every time and it only happens from a complete stop. Has anyone else noticed something similar? My '12 only have 6k on it.
I will take a look. I did recently have the oil changed so maybe I should look over what they did. Do you have to remove any plastic during an oil change? What the sound seems like to be is that something "adjusts" during acceleration from the stop. Like maybe the suspension is moving a little, or the axles or breaks. Something kind of "Pops" into place. I'm not sure tho.
there is a plastic oil change lid that breaks quite often during an oil change. could be something stuck in your wheels/brakes like a branch or something?
I will take a peek under the car but I haven't been anyplace with it that it would pick anything too crazy up. I guess something could be sliding around in there causing the popping noise.
I meant to post about it for a while, but I hear faint fast popping sound when braking to stop below 10MPH or so. And it's not brake pump, but rather sound from suspension or brakes, front passanger.
I hear something similar. The main one I hear is while turning at very low speed like pulling out of my driveway. I have heard the noise during acceleration from a stop. Usually in a parking lot.
Yes, this is what I am experiencing. I guess it's "normal"? I checked it out today and didn't find anything obviously wrong. Like you described it's like something is flexing or adjusting. Sounds really tick me off. Haha. I May have to stop by the dealer to see what they say. I certainly don't remember this being around in the beginning. While trying to diagnose the creaking noise I also noticed that when in EV, when you first push on the gas pedal it makes a screeching noise. Do you guys notice this too? It's only obvious with the windows down. But it's kind of a screeching noise (not just the noise maker).
I don't notice a screeching noise. I'll listen for it though. The popping noise wasn't there when I first got it. I thought it had something to do with my spring install but I'm sure we tightened everything properly.

now, I'm hearing all kind of sounds, every time i drive, so I just crank up the music and pretend that everything is fine
