    I believe Michigan is not a CARB emission state, so yes, just 8 years/100K miles. Did you get a warranty booklet? The details should be in there. If not, it might be available for your car if you select 09 Prius in the upper right of Toyota Online Owners Manuals and Technical Manuals.

    The warranty is applied to the VIN, the owner really doesn't matter. Any Toyota Dealer will honor the warranty. The only thing warrantied on your car is the hybrid parts (battery, inverter, etc.) All the other warranties that came with car have expired.
