It was bound to happen. Fall is here an it is now dark when I leave for work. Forgot about trash day and backed my v5 ATP right into the trash can. Thought I got away clean cause I didn't see a dent in the tailgate but noticed today I have about a golf ball size hole popped out of the lens of my passenger tail light lens. Anyone know 1) Is it possible to replace just the lens or will i need a whole new taillight? 2) Is this a DIY repair? (I'm comfy popping off an interior panel or two but if I have to start taking apart exterior body panels that is probably over my head) 3) good internet place I might find the parts? Thanks in advance!
Anyone know how I can find the part number for the tail light lens? I've tried OEM Toyota Parts - Toyota OEM Parts - Factory Toyota Parts but can't find the tail light in there for the V.
Well just FYI for anyone with a V5 w/ ATP the a rear taillight costs $366.40 from toyota dealer. Will cost me $435 installed at the body shop an expensive lesson. Once I get the part number off the body shop invoice I will post it here.
