It seems that everytime I turn of my car my phone connection is dropped. Then, when I start up the car I must reconnect using the display. Is there a way to have the connection made automatically without having to reconnect it everytime? Thanks http://artkauai.com
Hey Surfer. I don't have my prius - have to wait till Saturday or Sunday - so I can't be very specific. However, normally you have to "pair" bluetooth devices and set a checkbox or something similar on your phone to indicate that your prius is a "trusted" device. Which phone is it? Perhaps that little piece of information will draw the ideas of someone else with the same phone and they could give you *very* specific instructions. Good luck, Dave
I have the bluetooth connection on my prius and it works fine. My phone is a Nokia 6256i. Once I paired my phone to the car it automatically connects whenever I start my car. I didn't check the "trusted list" before connecting my phone, but I suggest looking there first.
Who is your provider? I have an e815 with Verizon. I have the BT turned off most of the time (no BT earphone), but it pairs right away when I turn it on.
Just a shot in the dark: Did you complete the initial setup procedure (i.e. "Add phone")? In your Razr's BT setup menu, do you have Bluetooth power set to "On"?
I don't remember the menu sequence to get there, but there is an option for Bluetooth autoconnect. I'm guessing you don't have this on.
I've got the RAZR with Cingular and once I did the initial setup the Prius looks for it everytime I start the car. That's how I know when I've left my phone in the charger in the house before I leave. Quite handy!
BTW, I've got to say that the bluetooth connection to my Prius is just the greatest thing!! I love just touching the button to make or take a call and no stiff neck from trying to hold the phone and drive or whatever. The RAZR is one of the best Christmas presents I ever got!!
I have an 06 and you can set it up to autoconnect blue tooth at power up. It works seamlessly with my Siemens SX66. I am having trouble with figuring out the voice recognition though. It is not working the way I think it should. Gotta go search the forum! Regards, Steve
Thanks Steve I did not push autoconnect but rather just pressed the connect button each time. Now the razr connects when we push the start button automatically... Thanks everyone else
