Latest number for HOV application

    Hi all,
    I submitted my HOV application about 6 weeks ago and it was cashed in just last week and today I received my HOV stickers. My number is 436xx. So still they are plenty of numbers before it could hit 50 thousand mark. Good luck for all those who are waiting. What I can say for all those who are waiting is still there would be additional 5-6 months before you could run out of 50000 mark for HOV applications and keep the patience on.

    I have a question who have already applied HOV sticker. I heard that once you apply these stickers and peel off paint may come off. Is it good idea to go for a complete exterior car waxing and then put in these stickers? Please let me know. I don't want to spoil new paint and if some body has suggestions please post it on the thread so that others can read.

    I think the DMV has a page that tells how to remove the stickers. They say applying heat with a hair dryer will soften the adhesive enough to peel it right off w/o damage. Ask me in 2008.

    I wouldn't be so sure of a 5-6 month supply. I sent in my application on 12/14/05, received them 1/11, and was 42888. Seems like a thousand or so in a week. Also this doesn't take into effect all the pent-up demand created by people deffering delivery until '06 for the tax credit. (I got mine in late '04, and only recently moved to CA.)
