LTE is LTE. Some call that 4g. 3g on CDMA is like Edge on GSM. 4g GSM is way faster than 3g GSM. 3g GSM is way faster than 3g CDMA. LTE is around metro areas so far. Eventually it will cover out in the boonies but it requires a fiber connection or a high bandwidth microwave link to a site with fiber. Away from LTE service areas, CDMA is much slower than 3g GSM. There are hardware reasons. 4g GSM absolutely blows away 3g CDMA speed. There is no 4g CDMA, only 3g or LTE. South Dakota is a good example of screaming fast 4g GSM service in the boonies. Don't know why but they have a very robust GSM network in that state. Southern Minnesota is the same way. CDMA is 3g there. In others areas it flips and CDMA rules the roost :)

I live in Carlsbad area La Costa. I know Lake Forest in Orange County. OC girls are the best. I never been to NC, but I hear it is nice.

The less than 45 degree temps we've been having out here were hard for me to get used to at first but now I'm used to it, and even kind of like it. Never thought that would happen! NC is very nice, especially the Raleigh area. It's a lot like OC but with a southern charm and prettier landscape. Also, the beaches on the coast of NC are, IMHO, just as nice as Cali beaches. I freakin love it out here!

Have you tried connecting to your car as a hotspot verses Entunes?

I agree Southern Hospitality is much more tolerable. I hear you can get a nice home in Raleigh for a decent price, and have money left over. You made a smart move. You will have to substitue Baja Fish Tacos for Southern Fried Chicken... :)

Someone said that turning on mobile hotspot and not running Entunes on the phone makes the car connect every time rather than experiencing the Entunes bugs :(

I tested Entunes on my old iPhone 4 and my Note and both phones had issues with communicating with my car reliably. One time it would connect then other times the car couldn't connect to the phone :(

Understood. But what Les_PL was talking about was the traffic automatically coming through while playing external devices, I believe. See post #6 in this thread.

Geez that is tough, I just had a Double Double Animal Style Saturday afternoon. Do they have a 5 Guys there? That is close to the real deal.

Animal Fries, yep for sure and a Shake, and a drive to Huntington Beach in the car and wearing shorts and a shirt with Flip-Flops in December and talking about the surf. In-N Out is a Tradition. maybe you can get one of there stickers on your Prius and us Californians will understand your valued tradition... :)

I'm with you on that. Funny is for about 2 years ago I made this gradual migration to no more Junk Food. Started Juicing eating healthier and did about 60 miles of road work per month and participating in 5K's. However once or twice a year I have my In-N-Out Burger, Fries, and Shake. I guess some habits are hard to kick.

Someone told me once that it's actually healthy for someone with a healthy, active lifestyle, to pig out and indulge themselves every once in awhile... I have no idea if this is true or not, but I choose to believe that it is :D

    It depends:
    • Morning commute - podcasts to catch up on the news: Autoline Daily, Stephanie Milller, Rachel Maddow, Sunday morning political talk.
    • Lunch and evening - load Pandora "Trance Radio", longer ones but at some risk of thinking 'Is that the car or the music?' Then switch to Car Talk and any remaining podcasts.
    • On the road - 60s rock, 70s rock, 80s rock, 90s rock, 00s rock, current rock, techno, classical, blue grass, and opera
