Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

I mailed my form yesterday right after getting plates. We'll see how long it takes.

 

Chevy and American workers must be happy you decided on the Volt.

 

Taking it to a DMV office would actually delay things, since they would just have to mail it the office in Sacramento that handles this.

 

Not in my case. I put "new vehicle" in the plate area and the complete VIN number. I guess I had an ambitious DMV worker!

 

Finally received stickers #6626 yesterday 11/16. One week after DMV cashed my check. I also received my CVRP check mailed out same day as the application. 28 days turnaround for both. I've only made one car payment so far so it feels like I've just been paid $953 to drive the PiP for a month.

Sent my application a week ago yesterday. Hoping for a 4 week turnaround.

 

Given everyone's been seeing one-month turnarounds, I think that's a misplaced hope

Just received my sticker #6968. It took almost exactly 4 weeks from sending in the paperwork.

Interestingly, there were two large stickers and two smaller stickers included in the packet, and instructions with the stickers say to put one large sticker on each rear quarter panel and one small sticker on each bumper (front and rear).

I've never seen a HOV-stickered vehicle sporting four stickers and it seems that two is the norm. Is this something new? Any reason why folks usually only attach two stickers and usually only on only one rear quarter panel and rear bumper?

 

Always been 4 stickers. I haven't walked around every vehicle, but I haven't noticed any cars with only 2.

 

I'm using only the two smaller ones; on the lower left front chrome strip, and on the right end of the lower hatch window under the spoiler. I put one of the larger ones on a cut-to-fit magnetic sheet that I used for the yellow stickers for my '04 and '06, but used it only a couple of times on this car. If I get stopped and told I need to put them all on then I will do so.

 

Mailed mine to the DMV at the end of October and the check hasn't even been cashed yet

 

Thats not good. I hope the department hasn't gone on vacation.

 

I wonder what it takes 4 weeks of turnaround for a seemingly straight forward work. Going by the sticker serial #, it looks like they are issuing around 40-50 per week. It is not like they are doling out these in large numbers like license and registration. They should consider issuing decal along with the registration.

Also, any idea if there are thoughts on extending the Jan 1 2015 date for use of carpool for green sticker?

 

I'm not even sure what to do. Possibly considering to mail another application and check.

 

I mailed mine 13 days ago. I will post when my check is cashed.

 

Have patience: That's six calendar weeks not counting Thanksgiving. Just because it's a straight forward process doesn't mean it's quick. It's not like they have one guy processing these applications only. Most likely, you're in the to-do pile and they will get to it first in first out.

 

Sent my app and check on Oct. 30 and nothing yet. If the 30 days holds true it should be any day now, allowing extra days for thanksgiving...

 

Have you been checking your account to see if the $8 check was cashed? I heard that happens 1 week before stickers arrive.
