Any chance that a dealer or person could order the parts that would be required to convert a V without ATP to having the sunroof?

Just thinking about it purely from a parts standpoint, the parts have to be there...in case they need to replace it. It'd probably be a list of parts...but once you had that you would just need a little enginuity....right? :D

If nothing else...just planting a seed. I really wanted the sunroof...just couldn't justify $5K for a sunroof and a bunch of other stuff I didn't want.

Same here. I'll be surprised if it's doable but I've been surprised before too. W

    $5000 and it's a sunroof that doesn't open...Were you aware of that?

There is a white V in my town with regular sunroof, looks exactly the same as on our Sienna. I guess it is available.

There is a sunroof type raised outline to the roof panel, but to the point of David Prius V, it does not open.

The correct term for what it is, is a Panoramic MOONROOF. It isn't designed to be open, just a glass window to look out from.

My wife wanted the ATP so that the baby would be able to look at the sky through the moonroof. :embarassed:

My 4Runner's moonroof has spoiled me, though. I can open the moonroof and roll down the tailgate glass and get the perfect amount of air circulation at highway and interstate speeds. It is just enough to keep you comfortable, but not so much or through such a small slot that it is loud. I can easily talk on my bluetooth setup in the 4Runner with the moonroof and tailgate glass open. It's brilliant! If I can't take the rear glass down, I don't open the moonroof. :D

Well, also, if you look at how the roof and the moonroof design, if it opened, I think you would have some serious problems. Engineering wise, it would not work too well the way they have it. A third party might be able to re-engineer it, but the current design, I wouldn't want it opening.

Ideally it's a sub-$2k "Panoramic View Moonroof with power sliding sunshades"

I don't mind it not opening..all the seams create drag plus it'll mess up what little hair I do have left!

I imagine though that the resin moonroof costs a pretty penny and the rest of the features are tacked on to make it more of a viable option!

Our v is a nice car; I'd trade up for a moonroof or a sunroof, but won't bite on the ATP package. Toyota could do better. I'll ck for an aftermarket product. Somebody out there has to be alert to this want....

I've had 3 or 4 cars that only came with sunroofs and opened them maybe twice for a minute or two in the last 5 years. Loved my Porsche convertible and had the top down 90% of the time but I never saw the point of the sunroof. Takes away from the headroom and can't do much for you in a the rollover.
