After less than three weeks on a waiting list (told it would be anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months - seriously considered going elsewhere, but about 10 days in got a call with what I wanted in Driftwood - I told him to bring her in) My 2006 Driftwood Pearl Prius with Package #4, floor/cargo mats and mudflaps has arrived. They are cleaning her up now and I'll be on the way to pick her up at 2:00. Yippie!
Congrats! Hopefully you've already read enough to know not to jump to conclusions if your first tank isn't 60+ MPG.
I've got it! It's GORGEOUS - but I think it could have had blue and white zebra stripes and I'd fall all over it. The salesperson did a really nice job, he went through all the checklists (he had different looking ones, but took me through the same things.) He really enjoyed telling me about the car, and I did my best not to let on that he wasn't really showing me anything new. I'll post more after I've played around - I'll just say for now that I'm completely satisfied with the experience =) On my Camry - The tech I was working with before reccomended that I not replace the transmission if I was planning on replacing the car anyway. Other opinions leaned towards not worrying about the transmission as long as it was drivable as well. Luckily, it carried me to the dealer. They actually gave me Blue Book trade in, condition good -$1500. My cars problems add up to a 'poor' (unrated) on the quiz. Worked out well in the end =)
Congratulations, geologyrox! You said, You have no idea how much you'll still learn about your fabulous new car! Enjoy!
