I want to attach a proclip and run the cable through the vent and around the dash. Does anyone know if the left vent will POP out if pulled or pried correctly?
Ths is out of a 2010 Prius manual but I'm sure it's the same: 1. Remove the front door scuff plate LH. 2. Remove the cowl side trim sub assembly LH. 3. Remove the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly. § Remove the screw. Disengage the 6 claws and clip as shown in the illustration. Disengage the claw and 2 guides and disconnect the hood lock control cable. § Disconnect each connector and clamp, and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly. 4. Remove the No. 1 instrument panel register. § Pull the No. 1 instrument panel register in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 claws. § Pull the No. 1 instrument panel register in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register.
I have to try tomorrow but it looks like I might be able to pop it out without removing the lower section.
