Hey guys wondering if the big three is possible on the Prius or would I have to settle for the big 2. About to put a big system on my car with an extra 12v battery and wanted to beef up my electrical grounds. Usually part of the big three is updating the positive wire from alternator to battery is that possible in Prius?
Hey what's up comatoes the big three is used in car audio systems, basically consist of upgrading the size of the grounds in the car, engine block ground, negative battery terminal ground and positive terminal to the alternator
The Prius's closest equivalent to an alternator is the inverter that produces 12V. So you may be able to add a beefier line from that to the 12V battery.
It connects to the traction battery? Idk if I want to mess with that Lol maybe ill just do the medium 2 lol
The inverter does have a connection to the traction battery, but that is not the part you want to touch. For safety reasons, the high voltage connections should already be well separated and shielded so that you don't touch them. You want only the connections to the 12V battery. I don't have the details about how to reach them.
I think your energy should be spent on how to store a glock or an AR in the back of your car instead of the big 2 or 3.

TB3 is a well known term for me, and I really wondered if it would mean the same in this setting. Yes it does. Where is the inverter? Is it under the hood? Can't find it in the linked pic. I also considered it might be the black-box next to the battery, but that doesn't look sturdy enough.
