Hello u have a 2008 Toyota Prius with 23k mileage. Whenever I drive over 30mph, I get a noise that comes from the front of the car. The noise gets louder as I drive faster. I just got the tires replaced, and that did not resolve the issue. I want to know what the problem is? Is it normal for Prius's to make this noise? I just went to my mechanic and he told me that its the front wheel bearings. Can that possibly be the problem with my car.
The drivers side front wheel bearing went out on my 07 at 30K and many reports of failed front wheel bearings. It made a wup wup noise at around 25 to 35 mph's.
Is there a DIY manual on PC from someone that has replaced the front bearings? The suspension write ups were great for the suspension R&R I did couple weeks ago.
I second that request: why not sticky the basic write ups like a wheel bearing R&R. I'm on about page 4 of a search...
