Light behind the buttons on the steering wheel

    When you drive with the lights on in the night there is light in the icons on each and every button on the steering wheel.

    I need this light to be stronger and it does not change when changing the lights in the instrument.

    How do I "tear down" the panel on the steering wheel so I can see what kind of light is actually behind these buttons - one bulp for them all or one for each button ?

    Maybe I could replace them with small LEDs.

    They are small LED's, someone on here has replaced these with brighter LED's and of a different color. Do a search on steering wheel illumination.

    The LED's are tiny surface mount type so your soldering skills will be put to the test.
