I am planning to buy all weather mats for 2 rows and cargo area. I am guessing I should buy only those that are marked for plugin. When I click the link at the top, I see a weather tech cargo mat for prius, would that work for plugin? I also see trunk cargo tray, which mentions plug-in. I am not sure if "tray" means, it is non flexible one. Any other accessory that is recommended?
I purchased the Husky units (front, 2nd row and trunk liner), designed for the PiP as well. Much cheaper, especially if you use the right coupon codes.
I have the WeatherTech floor liners from my 2012 and they fit. But, there cut out for the gas door for the regular Prius. The cargo floor liner fits no problem. I would only purchase things specific to the plug in only floor mat wise.
I always get mine via Auto Anything, since they offer the largest discounts. If you register here, you will also get 4% cash back. The same site also lists the Auto Anything coupons I usually use. I paid $199 for the entire set, and received a $29.99 discount, which was the cheapest option at the time.
Carid.com has the husky mats for $106 for the first and second row. I'm not sure how much the trunk liner cost. Husky makes a prius plugin specific mat (no gas cover release).
With the cargo liner, the total would be $196 @ CarID (assuming there is no tax/shipping). IMO, the cargo liner is worth it, especially since the batteries are right underneath the trunk floor.
Did your prius come with the "carpeted" trunk liner? I'm worried that having a hard trunk liner will make it harder to access the storage compartments below. Some company makes canvas liners that line the entire trunk area, but i want to see it installed in a prius before i buy it.
I put the liner on top of the carpet. There isn't much space to access, so it was never really an issue. That said, I have the same liners in my Toyota RAV4, which has tons of space under the floor, and don't have any problems accessing it.
