All of a sudden, when I answer a bluetooth phone call, the phone call screen comes up but 1) Whatever was playing on my stereo doesn't stop and 2) Neither I nor the person calling can hear each other and the phone call ends. Anyone else experience this and know what to do? I tried unpairing and re-pairing my phone and that did not work.
I can see how that would be annoying! You should be still under warranty, it could be a software programmable thing!
Do you have an iPhone 5? This is a known problem with that phone. It seems fixed in the 6.1 beta release I have installed.
Yes! I have an iphone5. I updated my software but it still seems to happen. . I took it to Toyota and it worked with the guy's older iPhone. Anyone hear anything else?
There is another thread about this same issue. For me, my iphone will ring but I cannot pick up by using the button on the steering wheel or using the touch screen on the nav system - it jsut disconnects. I have also noticed that i cannot access the address book to voice dial unless I have entered the passcode into the phone to unlock it first - that is very inconvenient if you are driving. Kind of negates the whole "hands free" concept
The audio playing over the call problem is still fixed in 6.1 beta 2, so it looks like it's a waiting game until that's released. Apple might be preventing transfer of the phone book data since the phone is locked. This only happens when it's locked?
Mine worked fine in the 2012 mdl II no nav headunit. neither v 5 and v 6 both give me problems. Try to repair the device to the HU.
Hello new to the forum. I have a 2012 Prius 3 and iPhone 5 and experience the same issue noted earlier. I have found that when accepting calls and the Bluetooth doesn't fully connect, I tap the icon at the bottom of the screen that transfers the call from hands-free to handset and back to hands-free. That has worked every time for me.
