I have a 2010 Prius and I noticed for the first time today that the volume control knob stopped responding when I twisted it. I turned off the radio off then back on and it appeared to be working again. Has this been an issue for anyone else and did you get it resolved ? My car has about 41,000 miles on it so I'm not sure if the warranty is still applicable.
Never seen or heard of this. But, since it worked after a "reboot" seems like a software glitch, rather than a hardware failure. Keep an eye on it, but it will probably be okay.
Thanks Johnny. I air dusted with compressed air. May have been a dusty contact. Has not happened again since.
This happened about a week ago to my 2009 Prius but, after "rebooting" the radio, it still didn't work. The next day, it worked fine and it has worked well ever since then. However, I'm still worried that there might be an issue. I had the front panel (entire audio panel) replaced one year ago because the CD changer stopped working and, if there's another issue with it, I am going to be so irritated.
