I know we get a 3 year subscription to the traffic stuff, but I thought we only had a 3 month subscription to XM Radio.

I am on month 5 and still have all the same channels.

Did I fall through the hoops somewhere, or do we get 3 years of XM service?

I still have my XM radio service too and it's been 7 months for me. They did start calling me several times a day for a while right after 3 months was up. They've taken a break and I haven't had any calls for a couple of weeks. The number(s) don't caller ID (and I won't answer the phone unless they do and I know who is calling), and they never leave a message. I looked the numbers up online and know it's XM. What really irks me is that they are calling my cell number, which I never would have willingly given them, but it was the phone number I used to communicate with my dealership, so they had to have given it up. :(

My theory is, why would I pay to subscribe to a service they seem to be willing to give me for free? They must be capable of activating and deactivating service to individual devices, so why haven't they done it? I'm certainly not about to call them out on their mistake since they can't be bothered to leave me a message when they do call.

On the Advanced, the XM data service for the traffic info and stock info and such is a three-year subscription, and it is between Toyota and XM; the user is not a party to this particular subscription, and no good will result if you ask XM about it (personal experience). If you have issues with it, you contact Entune customer service, and you renew with Toyota if you want to continue it after three years.

OTOH, the XM radio service is a three month trial subscription in the user's name, and the user renews as desired. If it still works after 7 months, well, don't complain. :)

If you take the plunge, see if you can get a temporary extra number for your credit card. Those guys can get pretty tenacious. Almost as bad as our bank...:ROFLMAO:
