Preferably 3rd generation, but whatever. I was taken aback by the G-Forces the cabbie induced, on a short run we had. Probably in Power mode, I didn't really look. He had the car pic on the screen, not the bar indicator. And just basically floored it whenever he had to get going. Got us where we were going quick, and time is money I guess, but... I guess there's not much call for hypermiling cabbies, LOL.
I've had similar cab rides in Seattle. But well before I really knew anything anout Prii. I was impressed by the power up steep hills.
Lost of drivers of company vehicles have absolutely no care about fuel mileage, vehicle longevity, or tire life. Keep the pedal to the metal and let the owners pay the price.
The town next to mine has a cab company with GenII and GenIII cabs and they're always zipping by the house doing a lot higher than the 25mph speed limit.
