Does anyone know what a replacement Hybrid Battery Costs?

    I'm in no need of one ( as far as I know), but has anyone priced one out?
    If we had to do this 5 yrs down the road, it'd be nice to be able to have the option of a slightly increased Kwh battery along with the software/firmware to take advantage of it.

    On Tesla's Model S, they seem to charge $500 per extra KWH once you are at their base battery.
    $10K to go from 40 to 60 KWH
    $15K to go from 60 to 85 KWH

    Just called the dealer: $2500 for the battery, $500 for the installation.

    The price for new Prius hybrid batteries has recently come down. They used to be priced in the US at $2985, but now for the NHW11 model (US 2001-2003 model years) it is $2299 and the NHW20 model (US 2004-current model years) is $2588.

    Those are not bad prices. Compare to a transmission redo.
