everytime I finish driving, and turn off the car, I get "key battery low" beep and on display message any ideas?
Wow! Same thing happened to me today. But I changed my battery about two months ago for the second time since Sept 2009. I have been driving around running errands today and it only happened on my first stop. Checked out the battery when I got home and it is full strength. I hope my fob isnt going bad. Anyone had FOB failures on 2010?
Change the battery, and even if the battery dies completely, you can supposedly hold the fob directly next to the Start button and it should work.
Mail your FOB to me, along with $99.99 cash and I'll do a complete refurb and return the FOB to you, as good as new.
If you put the FOB in your pocket along with your cell phone it may do this. Or there may be other things interfering with the FOB. Such as military comms.
what a relief. I never thought the key battery warning is the key I carry with me. I thought key battery low = "some KEY component of the battery system is low" which I was thinking it should be in the drivetrain warranty
Is it possible that your other FOB is also in the vehicle? I had the warning, changed my battery...and it took a few drives to make the warning go away. A week or so later I saw the warning again, but also realized my husband had his FOB along as well...so we changed his battery too. No warning since.
No, extra FOB tacked on bulletin board in office. It was the first time I have seen that warning and it is still a mystery to me. There may have been some interference, but I cant think of any other reason. I hope the FOB is not going out. Battery is fine and enclosure is sealed.
