At an current exchange rate of NZ$1 = 81.84 us cents c s-Tech: NZ$35,000 (US$28,640) c: NZ$31,000 (US$25,370) prius hatch: NZ$49,990 (US$40,910) prius i-tech hatch: NZ$54,490 (US$44,600) 91 octane: NZ$2.20/ltr unblended (US$6.81/US gallon) My C s-Tech is essentially a Model Four with these differences: Comes with: Smart Key without alarm, powered folding exterior mirrors, larger rear spoiler, headlight washers, 16" wheels, automatic headlight levelling, led headlights, 6-speaker audio/bluetooth Doesn't have: VPNS, TPMS, Display Audio (Entune, reversing camera, Energy Monitor), heated seats or mirror defoggers, moonroof, seat cushion airbags, front passenger occupant classification system, daytime running lights Accessories added: window slimline weathershields, headlight covers, rear parking sensors In our small country of population 4.5 million, Toyota decided to import 260 C's for 2012. These all sold in the first 3 months, no more until next April! For the launch last April only demonstrators plus a few units were available, so after placing an order we had to wait 4 1/2 months for delivery. I have had mine 4 weeks. I live in Auckland which has about 1/3 of the population, so there should be 80+ C's running around this town - I haven't seen even ONE The one big benefit in having to wait was in finding this great forum, and getting so much useful information about owning and driving a Prius hybrid - many thanks for being so generous with your feedback. I LOVE the car - the best ever. Already I am spoiled for ever owning anything else!
I saw the thread title and thought,"uh-oh, someone flipped their C!" Your C 4 equivalent is about $3500 USD more than our version. Nice car and picture by the way. The silver looks sharp contrasted against the dark background.

I gather these are RRP... what are on-roads like there? Here the i-tech is A$27000 RRP (US$27950) or A$31000 (US$32100) on road with metallic paint. Looks like ours are very similar. We don't get the 16" wheels (the i-tech instead gets 15" alloys) but we do get a local version of the display audio with reversing camera (but no Entune or Energy Monitor). Pleased to hear you also got the cool spoiler. I wonder if yours behaves like mine - one big thing I notice that doesn't align to what the Northern Hemisphere people report is the warm up phases, the most noticable being that my c does not automatically start the ICE shortly after I go into READY mode. Instead it just sits there and you can drive it without the ICE starting until you pass the half-way point on the ECO Score display and only then does the warm up cycle commence. What's your experience?

Rob It seems it is a southern hemisphere setup. My C, in Chile, doesnt' start the ICE automatically, you can go several meters before it kickoff (when battery goes to two bars or if you press the pedal firmly.) Of course ICE kickoff immediately after start if you put the A/C to say 18°C and the car has been sitting at 10C all the night. Sent ?
Exactly as you have found - as long as my traction battery has some bars, I can back out, get up the (sloping) drive, then a couple of hundred metres up the road before the ICE kicks in. That's using Eco mode too where I would expect it to kick in sooner.
Well spotted! I forgot to mention those. I don't really have too much bother reversing - the bigger turning circle from the 16" wheels occupies my mind more when parking.
Ah right... that is better. It's always hard to compare though because different juristictions have different taxes, levies and mandatory additional items such as different types of insurance. Of course we all sort out our own deals and final price on the day anyway. And thanks to both you and clgutierrez for confirming I don't have a mutant c. It's always seemed fine to me but I'd always wondered about it as you can read so much about all the numbered warm up stages but it seems the world's upside down Cs are clearly doing their own thing.
I got mine for $29k OTR. Had contemplated 16" wheels but as the stock 15" came with Bridgestone Potenzas that I'm familiar with, decided to leave it alone. Have other cars to play with when the need for speed arises.
