Beware! Apparently not all Prius v AT packages are alike. I picked up a Prius v Five with AT Package this afternoon from local "monopoly" Toyota dealer/distributer in Honolulu. When I tried to register the Entune system on myentune.com it came back and said VIN not found. Long story short, I was told "oh, they didn't order the vehicles with entune because HI doesn't get Satellite radio." I understand that at the moment Sirius doesn't have coverage (though they did do a terrestrial system trial earlier in the year). As far as I can tell there is no technical reason why Entune shouldn't be installed or working with my ATT / Sprint / Verizon / whatever smartphone for streaming pandora, heart radio, etc. just like the rest of the country. So far, the only two things I have found "missing" from the technology package is the Entune/Sirius radio software (radio still has XM/Sirius markings behind display) and the "Smart connect" but that is unclear if that is part of the "mainland" or standard smart connect package.

In the various videos published from the demos at Half Moon Bay, one of the features of Entune was to bring the controls for the apps like Pandora to the head end, because "Toyota does not want you to be distracted drivers". The immediate solution from someone was "you can still stream pandora from the phone over bluetooth, and just control everything from the phone"..... Uggggh!!

I just hope Lawyers don't need to get involved if I want to return vehicle, and just order one from Dianne!

To me this is a massive FAIL that you don't even learn that what appears to be a standard feature in all Toyota literature is not there! Not a happy camper in Honolulu (Add to that 25 foreign dignitaries presidents/PM's from APEC all clogging up already congested roads this week making rough commutes worse!)

I don't even know how they could get a Prius v Five without Entune. It is listed as standard on Toyota.com.

Welcome to PriusChat. Sorry Braddah! SERVCO is their own animal they are an independent importer and distributor. They bring in the cars with the options and packages they think will sell and with options that are supported in the islands. I doubt you have any legal recourse the window sticker should have listed all installed options and accessories and they did not force you to buy the car right? As far as I know the terrestrial repeaters for satellite never happened, I have zero Sat. radio functionality. I bought my 2011 standard Prius V/Five, with the APT back in January. The only option I am missing from my APT package is Lane Keep Assist (LKA). Another unavailable option here in Hawaii is Safety Connect.

But it also says this on Toyota's page under the features at the bottom among other stuff:

I went to SERVCO Auto Honolulu on this past Tuesday just to get a Prius v print brochure and the last words on the inside back page are the same as what Paradox quoted above.

aloha808 don't feel too bad we could not even get factory nav. a few years ago here.

    I feel for ya.

I noted that the AT package is about $600 cheaper there though right?

I'm having an issue with the USB port, and called Customer Services at Toyota Puerto Rico to ask for this issue, and asked about both services. I got this info: (1) the sat radio receiver is for XM satellite signal only, which means is not capable of receive Sirius satellite or terrestial signal; (2) Entune is a CONUS (CONtinental US) only service, and plans to expand the service are still on the dark. At least the answer was better that the one I got before from Customer Services at Toyota USA (they said that there were no national phone carries in PR:LOL:, yeah sure, tell that to at&t, T-Mobile and Sprint).

Entune is not that useful. It would be great if I could pay several hundred less and skip nav and entune.

I bought my 2012 Toyota Prius V Three two weeks ago, paid full price, no discounts. I have Entune Software, I have an APPS button, and I have a Model/Package level that includes Entune Service for 3 years with purchase. When I called the Salesman on my way home that day to ask how I register the Entune, his response was "Oh, entune isn't available in Hawaii." He never said that when I called to order or picked up the vehicle. When I called Servco, the Customer Service Manager said "You should've asked." Really? Wow. I wouldn't ask if windows were included either so at least they didn't take those out of the car too.

Since I didn't walk into the dealership to purchase the vehicle I wouldn't have seen any marketing materials that stated my vehicle did not include features that were marketed in the to the rest of the United States. For what it is worth, there is no "Mainland US" disclaimer on the toyota.com mobile website except for the extended warranty, that is footnote disclaimer #27.

I'll be returning the car if they can't get the features enabled, through whatever means are necessary. I could've purchased from a mainland dealer or gone with a different vehicle all together...and no, I wouldn't have bought the vehicle had I known that the Entune features were disabled in Hawaii.
