Hey guys first post ever on here, i am getting a 10 prius 3 next week as a new company vehicle. It has been upgraded with bluetooth and usb connectivity. I have the tomtom navigation app on my iphone. I very varely mount it on the screen i tend to just listen to the audio. Is there any way that the iphone would play the audio directions through the car speakers? And if so could it be used in conjunction with te radio, ie when a direction is iminent the radio fades and after the direction the radio plays again? Any advice would be appreciated.
I have used the tom tom app in my 2012 prius with no problems. I dont think there is any way to listen to the radio and have the directions come through. It works perfectly if you are streaming music form you iphone though. I always listen to Pandora form my iphone 4 and the music fades down whenever a direction is spoken. this should work with any bluetooth connection. hope that helps
