I went to the Jiffy lube today and while I was getting checked into their computer I found out my vehicle used to be part of a fleet. The counter guy asked for my card which I thought was odd since they hadn't done the oil change. Then, he realized I wasn't a fleet customer. My car used to be part of a company called Advantes. Also, I forgot to tell them to leave the tires alone, and they were not a little concerned when I asked them to put them back to 42/40 psi. The technician told me that at 70 mph the tires could swell to 46 psi and exceed the max tire pressure. I told him that shouldn't be a problem since I never go over 62 mph.
As an aside, I wouldn't trust any quick lube to place to check tire pressure in the tires let alone change the oil or drain some other fluid...
Hilarious. The max sidewall pressure on the side is the max cold pressure. It doesn't matter that during use (as the tire heats up due to friction) that hot tire pressure is above max cold pressure. They're designed to withstand it.
After I made sure the tires had cooled sufficiently, I checked the pressure and it was spot on. DROID RAZR ? 2
