Very well done! Look great with the Winter Grey.

Looks fine as is, no need to drop :) I give those a nod over the 17's and pretty much every aftermarket set I've seen.

  3. Thanks! There were a few aftermarket wheels that I was looking at...but none of them went well with the WGM. I'm content with the wheel gap for now, but the guys in the Mods & Accessories will definitely have a different opinion.

I don't mind the wheel gap. At least it's even from 9 to 3 o'clock position. I think it's ugly when people drop it too much the the top of the tires nearly touch the wheel wells (or whatever you call that part of the car)

Nice work. Where did you get the rims?

The Prius doesn't look funky at all with either the factory Five or Plus wheels (unlike most aftermarket rims) so I'd say no need to drop it.

If the Plus wheels were a shade darker, then the smoked Valenti lights would be the way to go. But as they are, the red ones look great (as do the light smoked tails on Kevin's Prius).

Hardly anyone else responds to this, but if I had my way, it would be a nice set of OEM looking (like PLUS would do) alloy 16 x 6.5's with 205/55-16 LRR tires. I *might* give up two MPG if a wand was waved to make it so. I know they would look incredibly balanced on Prius ... the tire diameter is spot on. Ain't going to happen though. Don't care that much :)

  8. Thanks MMB. Wish I could drop the car an inch or two...but the wife drives this car sometimes :( She almost ripped off the entire front end of my old S60R.

Believe it or not, a local guy was selling them. I was just about to pick up some CT200h rims then I ran across these...couldn't pass up the deal.

  9. Agreed. If 16" Plus-like wheels existed when I bought the car last year....I might've stuck with those. There was no way I would've kept the stock 15's with or without the wheel covers (no offense to the rest of the Prius community). The 15's would drift way too much on the freeway at high speeds in the rain. At times it was like....um how'd I end up in this lane?! Hence my upgrade to the 17" wheels.

  10. I do wish the Plus wheels were a tad darker...they're a little more mirror-like than I expected. Regardless, they're a great looking wheel and fairly lightweight (for an OEM wheel). I could actually feel a tad more pull when merging onto the freeway today....but then again that's my butt dyno.

Didn't u have the scion tc wheels on your car? Anyways, jus want to pay my compliments. I must admit that they(plus wheels) look real good with your prius grey color & the stance in the pix. almost look like they are slightly lowered like the one on the plus pkg. & have to agree w/ others that u don't really need a drop.

  12. Yessir, still have the tC wheels unless someone wants to buy them off me :D. I could always throw some winter tires on them. I agree, for some reason the car does look slightly lower with these Plus wheels. The rear end just looked a tad higher with my tC wheels, go figure.

Those Plus wheels are pretty sweet. Nice work on getting a good deal. They are a bit more reflective (or mirror-like) than in other pix I've seen. Not a bad thing at all. I think they look great on your WGM. I have the same color and was considering those wheels too. Thanks for posting those pix.

  15. Totally agree. The factory body kit probably helps the Plus look even more aggressive/lowered.

  16. Thanks scotk. Your Momo Winter 2 setup looks great. To be honest, I was going to get those last year but wasn't too sure if they would look good w/ WGM...I was wrong. Your wheel/body color combo just works. Every time I looked into your wheels, they were out of stock....figured it wasn't meant to be.
