:bootyshake: How about the loser has to drive a deisel powered 4wd Excursion to a Priuschat gathering and "accidentialy" bump into someone's car. Then when they come to investigate, say "Honestly, from where I sit, I can't even see your car."
well, just had a call from my salesperson... he said they have a salsa #9 and on the current allocation. there is one person ahead of me. they also have a tideland coming in 2 weeks. the person ahead of me had tideland as their first choice, and salsa was not even one of their choices. but the dealer's policy is to offer all cars to buyers in order, so they are contacting that person... fingers crossed, got my steel toe boots on to protect my toenails from bigbaldcuban
Thanfully, the internet doesn't transmit sound, or you would hear me sobbing whilst I type. Hope you get yours! (Prius, that is)
close but no cigar... dealer said today that the person ahead of me on the list decided they could live with the salsa. so i get the next one, in a couple of weeks. (sigh) still better than next spring which is what the local dealer said would be my EARLIEST possibility!
You're a hell of a lot closer to your car than I am. I haven't heard a peep yet. Startin' to feel like I'm not going to see it until Late July. Just a hunch.
well, i'll still believe it when i see it, but still right now is 2 months earlier than this dealer had told me, and i'm #1 on the list, so i guess my odds are pretty good
I have been offered two from West Virginia so far I turned down a white one the day after I started looking, then about a week ago I turned down a red one Both package #9 Must be something in the water over there! Chris
AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: Any ideas how much it would cost to ship a red one down here? I've got a 2 month old and a 2 year old. Flying up and driving it down is not an option.
Don't know for sure, but a co-worker had a Honda CR-V shipped from a dealer in Florida to Mass for a bit over $600. It was delivered on a flatbed tow truck.
supposedly the next one due in to my dealer is a tideland which i have already turned down. i suppose they already have a buyer but i don't know for sure... i will wait for the salsa. as i think about it, though, just the fact that one of us turns down a car doesn't necessarily make it 'available'... just higher on the list than some others who are waiting.
yes, raenstoirm bought hers from this same saleperson, same dealer, and i called based on her recommendation. if i had not waited until i got my morning coffee that day, i would have had the one that came in this week, but i am now at the top of the list. it should be about 9-10 hours from there to home. i will probably drive half the day i get the car, stop at a hotel somewhere, and then come home the following day. should be a fun adventure with my new prius!
