    Greetings,

I recently bough the Tekmate Connector and software for CAM. The Connector will not however read the Prius CAM interface. The Auther of the software assures me that it is a simple fix but he needs a Prius 04/05 that he can hook up to and read for a hour or so. He has offered their software @ cost for the person that will let him borrow the CAM Interface :) Even the More high end stuff from autoenginuity.com that does currently support the Prius.

Their Main website for the Tekmate is here.

[below is copied from the site]
It is a USB ELM-based OBD2 diagnostics scan tool and dyno in one!
Are you curious about your vehicle’s condition? Do you just need to clear a check engine light? This inexpensive tool will help you fix your own OBD2 vehicles, or at least inform you about what repairs are needed. Don’t waste money clearing codes that are caused because the gas cap was left off, or because you ran the fuel low and the engine misfired.

Also offered with our vehicle analyzer is the ability to track your vehicle’s acceleration and perform dynamometer testing.

The included software is the most powerful ELM-based OBD2 solution out there yet, with features unrivaled by any competitor. Should you want to use another program, no problem. Our hardware is not only the smallest, utilizing the latest surface mount design, but it’s also compatible with other ELM-based OBD2 serial software.

Much more info is availavle on their site. And if you are close to Phx, Mesa, Tempe AZ and are interested in this offer to get their software at cost so they can TWEEK the software to read the Prius then please contact [email protected]

Again, I was interested in this sodftware mostly for the guages and such  but found it would not work on a Prius and they ask me if I could find anyone with a Prius so they could tweek it (make a software change) and then the software would work.

    Thanks!

By the way, it is CAN, not CAM. CAN is short for Controller Area Network. The ODBII is standard, so the software, if CAN compatable should be able to read DTCs and standard ICE stats. The location of the CAN connection on the DLCIII is also standard.
