I have gone through all the steps with my iPhone to set up entune and link my pandora account and all that. I am unable to use any of it however because everytime I go to use one of these apps (or navigation) it's telling me the internet connection failed even though my phone and the screen itself are showing that I have a solid internet connection. How do I fix this??
Dont know about iPhone, but had that problem on Galaxy S III and i had to unpair on phone and delete the phone from the car, then reestablish a connection (this was after an upgrade to phone software) after that it has worked well (although Pandora is finicky, sometimes i will just get Pandora error till i restart my phone)
Which version of iOS? (Settings > general > about > version) It is likely 5.1 or 6.0. iOS 6 seems to have fixed all my Entune issues.
I cant get it to work either. It works with the usb cord but not without it connected with cord. I found this link but it does not work for me, you may want to try. HOW TO FIX: Toyota Entune 2.0.1 Update breaks Internet Tethering over Bluetooth - Scott Hanselman
I was reading Entune quick guide yesterday. It said iPhone needs to have the USB cable connected for the internet connection to work.
USB cord is only required for iPhone. If you have non-iPhone, you should be able to do it over bluetooth.
What carrier do you have? I had the same problem with my Sprint iPhone because they disabled tethering. I switched to the Galaxy S III and rooted it so I cannot really experiment any further on it though. I never tried with iOS 6.
My iPhone works perfect in my Prius C for Pandora, Tune-in, phones, etc, even with the current IOs 6.0.1
Why can other phone do it ? This is just stupid ,,,, the best car in the world & the best phone in the world can not work together ,,,, why ?
