(I also posted this in the Prius V last week by mistake so I will post it here too) I am enjoying the Entune System on my Prius C but I got a question? when using voice commands for playing a song on the USB drive it will list that as song 1/1 which is what it should do, If I choose a artist and album it will list all songs from that album. but how do I return to the playing the USB drive to play all songs from all artists? I tried Play...All Songs Play...Artists Random Play...Random nothing, and the manual was not helpful thanks, also my Prius C just hit the 4000+ mile marker
The C seems to be lacking several voice commands that other Prius models apparently had. I would love to have the three you mention, but they are not there. There are others missing as well. While you can say "AM", "FM", or "Satellite" to switch to those bands, you cannot say "CD" or "Disc", or "USB" to switch to them. They must be activated manually after hitting the Source button on the display. Once you have activated the USB once, if you then go away from it to another mode, you can get back into it simply by using the "Play" command, but you must have activated it manually first, unless it was already active when you first started the car. "Random" is now a button on the display, but not a voice command. A work around for playing all songs on your USB drive would be to create a playlist with every song in it. Name it All Songs Then say "Play playlist all songs". Presumably, hitting the Random button on the display would randomize their play order, but I have not verified if that works. I love the voice command system as it prevents the dangerous distraction of having to look at and find buttons on the dash, but a lot of very obviously useful commands were left out. I wonder if it can be upgraded through the USB port?
I'm having problems getting my voice command to work. I checked the manual and I am not having luck. Do I need to be on APPS on the big screen ? I am first pressing the Voice command Button (icon with face talking) on my steering wheel and then saying FM and nothing happens. I try "AM", "FM", or "Satellite and nothing!
I am not sure about AM or FM, but I will check it later today; however, I have no problem with Satellite. But instead of saying Satellite, I say "Play Satellite".
I'm sure you don't have to, since it is voice command. I've checked play fm command and it worked flawlessly. I guess all you need to do is to say play prior satellite, fm or am.
geez, so glad i saw this thread. Only had the car for 2 weeks and I forgot this thing had voice control.
You have to say "Tune to" followed by the band and then the frequency. So, for example, "Tune to 99.9 FM" or "Tune to AM 680". It can vary a little from this, but if you don't say "Tune to" it'll likely fail since you're not following the command structure.
