I've been noticing some steep rebates/discounts/deals going on for the PiP and the Prius C but I have not seen any posted deals on the 2012 Prius III. You'd think with the PiP now at around the price of a Prius III 3 that the III would be discounted.

Are there any deals on these or are they selling that well and the PiP and C just not selling as well?

Around here, they have a deal on a lease, but that's it. Have you entered your zip code on Toyota's web site for local deals?

I've heard that more deals will be available when the 2013 models come out. Someone I knew just got a 2012 3rd gen package III w/sunroof for around $26k before tax.

Check the car ads in local papers, Miller Toyota and Manhatten Beach Toyota run deals on 3's most weekends, the Firday papers (LA Times) (Orange County Register) are good sources.

Shop around, then go to Longo in El Monte. We had one large Toyota dealer's salesman tell us a couple of months ago when we got our Prius level 5 that they can't touch Longo's prices because of the shear volume they sell. They have a multi level parking structure behind their massive showroom floor that is full of Priuses.

Just ask around and get prices from everyone. I ended up getting a price at Mossy San Diego that DCH Torrance beat and Longo or Manhattan flat out refused to even match. Don't sell yourself short get quotes from everyone then shop around the lowest one to see if someone will beat it. Good luck!

I wouldn't be surprised if good deals start disappearing from CA temporarily. We're going thru a weird gas price spike and shortage right now.

Earlier today, I was surprised to see what's normally a cheaper gas station have premium at $4.79/gal. A more expensive station was $4.83/gal for premium. I did see some stations that were $0.30 or $0.40/gal cheaper on the same street, but I'm not sure how long that delta will last.

I took a tour of the parking structure on a golf cart with my salesperson while the car was being prepped. There were hundreds of prius there of all different models. Longo was part of my dealer invoice inquiry and obviously were able to give me the lowest price at the time.

Tell me about it. Last Sunday gas was $4.08 near my job where I usually fill up. If I was in my ol' integra (now sold) I definitely would of filled up as I routinely do....but no, I'm all caught up on this mpg thing now and didn't want to skew my results for my first fill up by doing so.

Do any of you fill up at 1/2 tank or do you wait till your tank is almost empty to see how you "scored"? (sorry for being off topic; the question just popped up as I typed) :censored:

For deals at Longo do I need to go in and go through the whole song and dance? Whenever I chat/email/call I don't get prices that are very good. Even when I mention I found it cheaper elsewhere they all just say "come in and we'll talk". I'd like an experience where I can do it all online and just go in and sign and pick it up. It sounds like Dianne may be my best bet.

Prius C's and V's reception has been luke warm at best, The incentive to sell these is obviously there. The Prius liftbacks demand continues you have to fight for what you can get out of your deal. Don't plan on zero precent financing or rebates on this auto. You won't find it.

For discounts, try to work one dealer vs another. Having a folded quote and a business card from the other dealer in front of you for the 2nd dealer to see is overpowering. The salesman kept looking at it during our conversations.... Don't show him the numbers.

That was my only two experiences at Longo (my first time was the last time I bothered with them). There are many dealers that give better service and better prices. Trust me.

I personally did exactly that. Only difference was I initially started with a phone call so that I would be taken seriously and rounded up approximately 10 dealers who wanted to participate in my dealer inquiry. Longo was apprehensive initially, but after a brief conversation and a followup call they decided to participate.

Walked in, reviewed the paperwork and waited for my car to be prepped.

Tried to get a hold of Dianne, but she never responded to my emails or PM's.

But just because I got a decent deal that week, doesn't mean they will always give the lowest price...even with their large inventory.

If you want more info, shoot me a PM.
