I just picked up my 2006 Prius on Monday. My brother inlaw works for Toyota. So he gave me employee discount form. The sales man told me the Prius was not coverd. Had paperwork saying the same thing. Today my brother inlaw tells me that his brother works at the same dealership sales also. ( wish he would of told me this before) anyway he told his brother the story and was told that I do get the employee discount. Waiting on a call from him now. I am so pissed. Anyone know if I have any idea how to handle this. If they don't wan't to honour it after the fact? Pez
The sales rep that I bought the car from told me the prius was not coverd under employee discount. He had paperwork to show this. I found out 2 days after sale that It is coverd.
F.Y.I Toyota Canada has excuded all hybreds from the employee purchase plans. I guess I keep the car. The $5000.00 saveing would have been nice. But I still have a nice car.
I have heard from a reliable source that some dealers exclude the Prius from employee discounts. May not only be a Toyota Canada thing. <_<
I believe galaxee mentioned that they didn't get any discount on the Prius even though her husband works for Toyota
Don't get greedy then! By the way, me thinks you owe the salesman an apology. He DID give you the correct information. That must be a first.....
Also, you don't even work for Toyota. I find it odd that you were upset about not getting a discount that was never meant for you in the first place.
