Date Ordered: 11 Oct 2005 Dealer Ordered From (Incl. City/State): Clarksville MD Timeframe given for delivery: probably January Color: Seaside Pearl Option Package: #7 Your # on Dealer's Waiting List: 14 We ordered this car yesterday. Exciting! This is my first post. The Prius is very cool. -bill
I talked to my salesrep today. Turns out we're 14th on the list at the dealer for an '06. He says new information is that we should get ours probably in January, but possibly late December. Looks like I should do a little "preventive maintenance" on my current car ('97 Plymouth Breeze, 160k miles.... keep working, old buddy!). -bill
I'm first on our '06 list waiting on a package 8, color TBD.... hoping for November - new alocation list comes to dealer tomorrow... fingers crossed!
Oh, there's another thing, evidently there's an '05 white package #2 on their lot that's available. If you call, ask for Kourosh. Tell him I sent ya. -bill
First, welcome to the funhouse, bill! Will you accept Dec. delivery? Do you know about the tax break effective 1/1/06? If ya got 160K out of a Breeze, ya done good. Don't know if you're a previous lurker, but there're lotsa good folks here who will answer questions and be helpful.
thanks! was wondering if anyone was paying attention after i posted the first one and nobody answered we'll see... and that will depend on how the breeze is doing. starting to have more problems. if my current car lasts it out, i'll be happy to accept in january. nah, i've only been here since i posted that first one... about a week! this is a good site. thanks to all who have posted good infos. my wife's registered here too. -bill
Yep, that's me! I've been lurking till now though I did vote in a couple of polls. Would be nice to have the new car for holiday travel, but we'll cheerfully take the tax credit if that's how it works out. I have a 2000 Honda Civic coupe, 64K miles, so we're using that for all long trips as well as any short ones we take together. Mileage isn't Prius-worthy, but I still feel pretty good filling my car up next to all the monster SUVs that are so popular around here. Thanks for the welcome! we'll be sticking around. Michelle
Welcome! You'll find answers to any of your questions (even those about sex, death or politics  ) here. My husband and I are in Havre de Grace. You've seen the town listed on the exit sign on 95, south of the bridge over the Susquehanna. Enjoy your new car. We're loving ours.
Bill talked to the dealer today and the car is due in 1/10/06. Exciting! MSRP, and no mysterious fees have appeared. Michelle
Darn, evidently the car has not yet arrived. Some sort of miscommunication, I think, because the word now is that the car was supposed to arrive at the port on Tues, not at the dealer. So we're still waiting on the car to arrive... -bill
And... it's here!!!! Truck arrived this afternoon at the dealer, salesman called us right away and they prepped it while we worked out the trade and paperwork. MSRP for package #7, floor mats, wheel locks, cargo net coming soon. Declined extended warranty and will buy from the dealer who supports PC. It had exactly 1 mile on it when we got in for our test drive (MPG based on one mile in the parking lot, not so good!) Looking at the forums, we may be the only PCers who plan to use the AUX for a cassette player rather than an ipod. Dealer was Antwerpen Toyota/Scion, Clarksville, MD and the experience was very good. Very low pressure, even from the business manager (he brought up the warranty and such, of course, but took "no thanks" for an answer right away.) Our salesman was Kourosh and he was very patient with our frequent phone calls. Can't quite believe it's really here! beautiful. I have fallen in love with the Seaside while we waited for it to arrive. Also bill is sad to see his old car go (both of us are). 8 1/2 years is a long time and 162K is a lot of miles! Michelle & bill
Yeah, definitely, especially since my old car held out Although that piece-of-junk Sanyo stereo I had in it, that I was happy to see go. I was half-jokingly-considering removing it before trading it in so I could go at it with a baseball bat, but I got better -bill
