I have been driving a Honda civic where it is quite uncomfortable for 2 people to sit in the back with a cat seat next to the window. I am wondering whether there is enough room on the Prius V for 2 people to sit on the back seat with a car seat? Thanks! Amitabha
Almost every person who gets into my back seat remarks about how comfortable it is, even to the point of proclaming it the most comfortable backseat they've ever seen.
People have called my "V" a TARDIS (Dr. Who): much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. The back seat is amazingly roomy.
My wife drives a civic hybrid and we added a Prius v as our "big" car. We have two car seats in the back of both cars: one front facing Britax and one rear facing Chico. My wife was able to comfortably fit between them in the v for medium length trip in town to the zoo. If we had just the rear facing seat on the middle I have no doubt two people could ride on either side of it. The front facing seat is a little wider so I think would probably interfere more with passenger room at the shoulders but probably still tolerable for trips around town.
My Prius v has 1 front facing Britax convertible car seat in the back seat (middle). 2 average sized adults can easily fit in the back seat of my car. My wife's Prius v has 2 front facing Britax convertible car seats in the back seat (left and right). The space between the 2 car seats in my wife's back seat is too small for an average sized adult.
Or you can lay the front seat flat, kick your feet up, and enjoy the ride in the back with the baby. Haha
Yes, this is very true... Even with 2 convertible car seats in the back seat there's still quite a bit of room (front to back) since the rear seat slides back-and-forth as well as reclines. The only challenge is the amount of side-to-side space. A person can still sit in between the 2 car seats, but it isn't comfortable.
I am trying to remove the rear seats completely in my 2015 Prius V 4. All instructions I have found are for different or earlier models and dont apply. I got 4 bolts out of the front of the seat tracks, but when I got to the back there are what look like big rivetts or maybe they are buttons? How to get those loose? Thanks for any help!
Had to pop off a couple pieces of plastic trim then drilled 2 holes where needed to access rear track bolts. Bare bones now!
Poped off 2 pueces of plastic trim at rear of track then drilled 2 holes in more plastic trim to get to 2 of the rear track bolts.
