My wife has a question about our 2006 #5 Bluetooth. Whenever she is talking to someone through the BT/Prius, and another call comes in, the BT will beep several times, and eventually "Call Terminated By Network" will show up and disconnect the call she is currently on. She then cannot answer the incoming call either. My Question is: Does BT not handle the call waiting, or 2nd line feature the phone does? The phone is a Motorola Razor V3. Will she be "knocked off" from every call she is on when another call "beeps" in? Can she swithch between the 2 calls? We've read the manual and found nothing to help. Thanks scarb P.S. If anyone finds a work around to keep the phone dialer from being locked out while driving, please let me know.
There has been quite a lot of discussion about this. It seems for many the only weay to prevet this fromhappening is to disable call waiting before making a call. Receiving a call though, is another matter, as I'm not sure you can disable call wating. As for me, I have not had this problem at all. I even have a phone that has been especialy notorious for it (Verizon Treo 650). I am able to answer the new call and then switch back to the first call after. Not sure what I'm doing differently...
I have a Motorola V551 and the call waiting works just fine--but there's a catch! I have to answer it using the phone's handset. When I end that call (again from the phone) it switches back to the first call--all the while playing audio through Bluetooth and the Prius sound system. It would be nice to have a diaglog box on the screen or something to be totally hands-free from the handset, but it still beats having my hand to my ear... Gary
I have the Motorola RAZR V3 also with the same call waiting problem. I talked to Motorola's customer care and they told me the RAZR is not compatible with the Prius and they're not doing anything about it. I've disabled my call waiting but I'm always on the phone and I'm ready to sell my phone over this, especially because Motorola doesn't really care about fixing it. So I'm not sure why people are saying that the RAZR V3 is compatible but it isn't.
For what it's worth, I experience the same problem using a RAZR V3 on my 2006 Prius AND using Motorola's own IHF1000 bluetooth car kit installed in my Scion TC. On the IHF1000, I can actually answer the call and switch, but if I choose to ignore the incoming call then both calls are disconnected...very annoying. It's definitely a problem with the phone.
I also have the same problem and I am using a Blackberry 7290. I find that if I delete the phone from the Prius and add it back in again, I am good for about a few weeks, then it starts happening again. I also noticed that I ran trouble free for months until a loaded another bluetooth headset in my Blackberry. I paired up a Jabra headset. I need to experiment around with deleting the Jabra and see if that helps, my only problem is that I really like the Jabra and don't want to run for a month without it. Do you have another headset pair with your phone?

Whenever I use the boom, the person on the other end thinks I'm on a land line.....and that's while I'm in the car at highway speeds. I have a Blackberry Pearl and when I plug the headset into my phone, everything works through the headset, and when I unplug the headset, I'm back on the bluetooth system in the car.
