Hello all, been reading the forum for some time, getting everyone's impressions and experiences. Very helpful, thank you. We've finally taken the plunge and, barring any dealer-trading failures, will be getting our red Tech Premium C next week (American translation, C4+moonroof, fogs and 16's). Exciting!
Just got my Prius c technology today! (I'm also from Toronto but I went to collingwood since my family often deals there) I was a little sad that a bunch of miles were added bringing it in from another dealership, but that quickly evaporated once I got driving! Congrats and enjoy! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for a red sibling when I'm on the roads in the city
a colleague saw the pic today and said (yes it is somewhat sexist and he said it knowing it) that red was a "chick colour". He snickered knowingly that he was trying to push my buttons. Undeterred I said nothing and that I liked the red and a few other expletives. We pick up on Sat - whooooooo.
financing off our own bank with better LOC rate; yes, it appears the Toyota Canadian demand is so big that they have no incentive to try harder move even more Prius Cs. They can't even come close to keeping up with current demand.
hehe, NO discount - tried several dealerships – didn't have to wait as they found a model in a colour I was ok with at another dealership and made a trade for it. I understand they were told by Toyota that it was an undetermined amount of time to get one from Japan
It's here!! Picked up Matey (yeah, needed to compromise on the name with the better half – but she really wanted to call it Tulip which was not going to fly with me) yesterday. Dealer was great on delivery and tutorials; even though I'm really nerdy it's good to get a real world overview on some operating details, especially with keyless entry fob handling, how not to walk of the car when it's on and forget. Ironically we got into a series of traffic jams driving home (lots of bridge building and new airport train building around Toronto) which gave us a chance to experience the car in mixed conditions, how quiet it is in traffic (totally Zen) and play with the stereo. So we didn't mind the traffic at all. Today --- to nerd out on bluetooth and settings. FUN! Oh yeah, the trip home we already got 4.0L/100km in mixed highway and city driving.
I'm known as a lover of air conditioning but - for as long as the weather here is yet to heat up for summer - I just love driving this car around without even the fan on... the silence when stopped in traffic is so nice. Congrats on your new c... enjoy!
