I am 99% done blacking out my Prius with vinyl wrap. It is a process and takes a bit of patience but it is fun playing with this car. Some love it, some hate it, some dont care. Why I did it? , because I could and I wanted to try something different. Next week a black mesh upper and lower grill.
My vinyl has been sitting waiting to get layed on the car for about two months now. Looks good! The right rear quarter panel area looks a bit odd. Was the vinyl wet from morning dew? The coloring looks inconsistent. What pieces were the most difficult for you to wrap? I think the most obvious part is the front bumper. Any tips to share?
It could be the lighting or the angle. It came out surprisingly consistent. There were no "easy" parts. Each had its difficult parts. The roof was hard because of the size. Even though is is flat, working with a large piece is tough. The front was only difficult around the logo hole, and keeping the wrinkles out. There were many times when I got so frustrated and wanted rip off the whole piece, and I did that once. Sometims i had to go over the same spot 4 or 5 times to get it right. It is a test of patience.
Too bad the Clean Pass stickers are soooo butt ugly! I got mine- but never put them on cause I just hate the way they look.... and you must apply all four of them
Love the hood and the overall look. The rims are really nice too. Too bad they dont sell them in 17's anymore.
Washing is no problem, i have taken it through a car wash. It holds up fine its all a matter of taste, I like the carbon fiber hood and spoiler. The hood is made by Seibon and i got it from Unified Distribution. It is the same one that us on ebay, above. Only thing you should know is that although the hood fits, it does not fit like the stock hood, meaning the spaces on either side are not as close to the body, nor are they the same width. Also if you but the scooped hood you need to close off the scoop from underneath. I love playing with this car, there are so many things you can do and do yourself.
so with the seibon hoods there are bigger gap spaces on the sides and front ? what did you do about that ?
