I only have 4500 miles on my c2 but I feel like the gas pedal is getting harder to push. It seems like I have to push the gas alittle bit more to keep it going. It doesnt feel like the engine is "opening up" like it use to. I first thought it was bad gas, But could it be possible the ECU learned some sort of weird driving style that has caused it to start doing this? Im going for my 5000 service in a few days. I think I will see if they can reset the ECU to see if it helps. I hope it does Im taking it o a 1000 mile trip in a week.

I highly doubt the accelerator has any sort of force feedback mechanism. Toyota's never done it on Priuses (or any other of their cars) AFAIK.

Is it possible you are in the Eco mode?

Im not in ECO mode. It started about a week ago. I thought I would be able to drive out of it. I also thought it could have been a bad batch of gas. Ive filled up since then still no improvement. If there isn't a forced feedback accelerator, it sounds like some kind of ECU or fuel management issue. It just doesnt feel like the engine is completely opening up when you press the gas pedal. Ive also noticed it doesnt get past 48 MPG anymore. It was getting upwards of 54-58 MPG last week with no issues. I hope a ECU reset will do the trick.
