    Found out that you can get $250 back in Visa gift cards if you purchased or will purchase a Prius in August. You just have to answer some scavenger hunt type questions on the Toyota website: Toyota - National Clearance Event

    Also, the website limits to something like 50 responses per question per day. It resets at 11am eastern time each day though, so it is best to visit the site in the morning.

    Thanks for the heads up, bought mine August 1st, can't get it to work, keeps giving me an error saying to wait 1-2 hours after purchasing the car to input the code, even though I bought the car 20 days ago. Going to e-mail them.

    Oh, I had that happen earlier. I think their system was down that contains VIN history. Wait a while and try to re-enter your code and VIN. I waited 20 min and it worked.

    Glad you found it helpful. I actually have to pass credit to another member (can't remember the name) for passing along the info to me.

    I entered my info the night after I purchased. I was amazed at how quickly it validated my purchase.

    Thanks, I tried again when I came home from work today and it worked! Already confirmed my purchase and will just have to wait for the card. Thanks again for this, I would've never even known about it and I had bought the car so long ago.

    I'm trying to do this now, having a little issue. Where did you guys find your "Nationwide Clearance Event Code" The code can be found on your Nationwide Clearance Event certificate. What certificate are they referring to?

    Once you complete the questions, it will ask for your personal info then a page will pop up with an alpha-numerical code. Be sure to write it down because the next page will ask for the code and VIN.

    They are talking about the code they provide after you've answered enough questions to get $250 rebate and submitted your info...you can't miss it.

    So is the national clearance event code the same as the offer code? I attached what I saw. Thanks again.

    EDIT: NVM, I just did it again and it works now. It was giving me the "If you recently completed your purchase, please allow 1-2 days of VIN processing time before entering your Offer Code"
