Side blinkers are a requirement like Europe (we follow European regulations for 98% of the vehicle standards)

HUD has always been in Gen 3 but it doesn't have the speedometer + power bar in the HUD option. Only speedo.

Am I the only one jealous they get the third row seats (a la Europe/Asia)? I wish that was an option on the US side.

And you're ok paying US$37k plus taxes for the equivalent Prius v 3 with HUD, fogs, LED DRLs, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 7" Premium HDD, privacy glass and 7 rows? No option for 17" alloys, LED headlights, panoramic roof, DRCC or PCS?

Oh and you lose the centre console (it becomes a tray instead of a deep box) and of course one of the rear underfloor boxes.

Yeah, Priuses (even before the addition of the extras in the family) are apparently quite expensive in Australia. I remember seeing loud complaints about it when the 3rd gen became available there. Not sure if it as horribly priced prior to Gen 3.

I REALLY do wish Toyota would bring the 7-seat version to the US though since we still have no hybrid minivans in the US and the HiHy is so expensive. :( C'mon Toyota bring us the 7-seater!!!

In time, I'm sure they will. The Prius v is proving to be very popular so I think we can probably see variations for the next generation. In Canada, the v outsold the liftback by 100 units (or ~30% if we use percentages since our sales numbers are minuscule compared to the US).
