Anyone have any techniques or tools for cleaning in the nooks and crannies of the "PriusV" or "HYBRID" emblems on the back and front quarter panels? My v is only a few weeks old but I can already tell those spots will collect road grime. Q-tips don't seems sturdy enough once they get wet.
Removing them makes the car look nicer and easier to keep clean... Some emblems have holes in the metal behind them, others are just attached with putty... Do a search on here for the term debadge or de-badge to learn which ones you can remove... Another option is to create stickers to replace your badges with, which will eliminate the nooks and crannies that are hard to reach. Note: High-priced car detailers used to remove all the badges before polishing and waxing, but with the kind of adhesive putty Toyota uses these days that might take more time than it's worth...
All the Prius v emblems are held on with double side 3m adhesive, but have locating pins on them, so holes are revealed on the body when removed. No bolts are used.
