I just got my Prius 2 (2012) two weeks ago and still trying to learn all the new features. Previously owned a Highlander so still transitioning. Especially on how to get the most mileage from my gas.
Welcome to Priuschat! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. In my case, "drive like you had no brakes" is the most useful. Slowing gradually and early when it is necessary to slow down at all. Find ways not to slow down, ever. I would not start even worrying about mileage until the third tank., You need to learn the controls and lines of sight, first. Mileage should never 'win' over safety.
hi and congrats on your new ride. stay tuned here for plenty of fuel saving ideas and advice. all the best!
Thanks, JimboPalmer. I'll try to keep that in mind, it's like learning to drive all over again for me, never realize how much or how hard I normally pushed on the accelerator and brakes until I got my Prius but you're rig, safety first. Thanks, Bisco. I'm looking fwd to learning more about my new Prius.
