I did try one there (and read almost everything that could be read on the Net about it), and I'll buy one (available on march '04) !

If you want to know more about the french version (in french !) :

If you want to know more (EV button, 16' wheels, fog rear light, etc.), please ask me, I'll be glad to share my passion for this car.

Well, well ! Business to do here !

Let's say ... ten times the MRP price, plus the gasoline to go at Les Champs-Elysées (my bike is thursty !), plus postage fee : well, we are almost at the price of a real one !

More seriously, when I'll go there, I'll ask to the (charming !) hostess if there is any way for foreigners to buy those models (phone, mail, e-mail, etc.). I'll post pictures and the price of it, and the answer of the ladies !

You can also try to reach them by yourself : adress, e-mail and phone are on
    http://www.lerendezvoustoyota.com/.

    Good luck !

Richard - a few questions for you to find out when you speak to a dealer and comments for you:

    1) I've been by that dealer before! I was in Paris about 4 years ago and saw that dealership while touring around the city.

    2) Rear fog lamp - can you ask if you get a chance or figure out how the rear fog lamp works - how it fits into the rear light fixture, where the button for it is in the driver's compartment, and how much the assembly might be. There are quite a few people Stateside interested in this as an option.

    3) Road Noise - please note the next time you drive it how it does noise-wise as you're driving through the city on those 16" wheels. If I remember correctly, you'll probably drive along some cobbled areas and other noisy patches of road, and that is one complaint among US owners with the 15" rims.

    Thanks!

    Danny

So what is the MSRP of the model? I emailed them 2 days ago, and still no answer. I searched around on the web for Minichamps dealers, noone lists the Prius (not even Minichamps themselves!).

    @ Victor

I have my Prius since April 22th and love it!!

I did a test drive in February at DIT.

Finally I 've got it from a small, hybrid minded Toyota Dealer between Starnberg Lake and Garmisch.

It 's truly a great car and I have a lot of fun with it!

Already made a trip to Hamburg on the Autobahn...NO Speedlimit ;-)..

    Definitly worth the wait !

I thoght it strange that Richard was in Muenchen when he was talking about Paris

Which dealer did you use between STA and GAP? As we are moving very soon to STA this could be worth looking into, although I would give 100% to DIT, as they have always given me good service.

Even with the Prius, they are offering a good deal.

Toyota Hager in Saulgrub, nearby Murnau. It was a nice car buying experience with them. They also have the latest THHT Diagnosis Tool Equipment for the Prius and well trained staff.

The quite small dealer in Starnberg (Gallner) was also nice and convinced of Hybrids.

In Starnberg you will probably see Thomas (Tomy), he has a brandnew blue Prius... ;-)

He sometimes is posting on the Yahoo e-mail group Prius-DE.
