Also known as the 'dead pedal'... The carpeted floor mats don't cover this area so repeated use runs the risk of wearing through the stock floor carpet. I found these floor mat samples in a dealership's accessory store. The shape caught my eye - they didn't want to give out a sample off the rack (at least not a decent colored one) so they gave me this clear one they said they get all the time - even better! Works great! The grippy spikes on the bottom hold it in place well. Obviously needs to be trimmed but it's pretty good non-permanent solution, imho. Hope this helps others looking for a solution.
Can't understand why the custom cut all-weather mats don't cover this area either (ie. Hexomat, Lloyds, etc). Since it's custom cut, they might as well, right?
